Plant Controller – Peterborough Hybrid
Lead plant controlling for IRCA Group’s Peterborough manufacturing site, covering costs, inventory, profitability and operational performance. Partner with plant leadership on reporting, forecasting and improvement decisions.
Description
- Manage financial and industrial controlling for the Peterborough manufacturing site
- Track manufacturing costs, inventory levels and plant profitability
- Serve as finance business partner to the Plant Manager and Operations teams
- Deliver financial analysis, performance insights and recommendations for operational and strategic decisions
- Analyse plant performance, productivity, inventory, profitability and operational KPIs
- Lead plant controlling processes and management reporting
- Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, standard costs and prior-year results
- Coordinate manufacturing-related activities during month-end close
- Manage product costing, standard cost updates, cost-roll reviews and manufacturing variance analysis
- Oversee inventory controls, stock accuracy, valuation, working capital and physical stock counts
- Support budgets, forecasts and business cases for operational initiatives, investments and continuous improvement projects
- Maintain data integrity and compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Encourage effective use of ERP and reporting systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
- At least five years of plant controlling, industrial controlling or operations finance experience in manufacturing
- Experience with standard costing, inventory control, budgeting, forecasting and manufacturing variance analysis
- Strong understanding of industrial controlling, costing and manufacturing finance
- Ability to use ERP systems, advanced analytics and financial modelling
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- ERP experience, preferably with Infor M3
- Experience with Power BI and data analytics tools
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Strong business partnering, analytical and influencing abilities
- Proactive, results-focused approach with sound judgement and the ability to improve performance
- Regular presence at the Peterborough manufacturing site
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other Group locations
- Availability for full-time work, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
