Phlebotomist – Portland, Oregon (Onsite)

Provide donor care, operate automated plasmapheresis equipment, and support safe plasma collection at Grifols. The company develops plasma-derived medicines and transfusion solutions worldwide.

Description

  • Assess donor suitability and support the screening process
  • Build rapport with donors while protecting confidential information
  • Respond to donor reactions and provide appropriate assistance
  • Monitor donors and equipment to protect donor wellbeing and product quality
  • Prepare, connect, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
  • Disconnect and safely dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
  • Support plasma center operations related to plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated commitment to high customer service standards
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule
  • Interest in making a meaningful difference in the world
  • Ability to obtain applicable state licenses or certifications
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and ideas
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information appropriately with diverse groups
  • Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to bend and twist the neck and waist for 1 to 2 hours per day
  • Frequent movement of the hands, fingers, wrists, and feet
  • Ability to perform precise, coordinated movements to grasp and manipulate objects
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds, with a maximum lift of 50 pounds
  • Essential hearing acuity
  • Correctable near and far vision with color perception and discrimination
  • Ability to work around biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment
