Part-Time Cardiology Patient Services Associate
Part-time role supporting Jefferson Health cardiology outpatient offices with check-in, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient flow.
Description
- Support Cardiology outpatient offices in Lansdale and East Norriton
- Handle patient arrival and departure tasks
- Manage check-in, check-out, point-of-service tasks, and appointment scheduling in EPIC
- Secure required pre-certifications or pre-authorizations for procedures
- Confirm insurance, referrals, and patient demographic details
- Keep patient flow moving smoothly and raise patient or provider concerns when needed
- Welcome and assist patients and visitors courteously in person and by phone
- Follow HIPAA privacy and security rules
- Meet applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Communicate courteously with patients and visitors
- Help provide a positive Jefferson experience for patients and visitors
- Process and interpret data
- Manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment
- Follow HIPAA privacy and security requirements
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Experience using EPIC for appointment scheduling, or the ability to use it as required by the role
