Mobile Building Engineer
Maintain HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems across Lincoln Property Company’s real estate portfolio. Carry out inspections and emergency repairs, oversee contractors, and mentor technicians.
Description
- Maintain properties through plumbing repairs, basic electrical work, and HVAC troubleshooting
- Inspect buildings, including lighting, roofs, and parking areas
- Respond to unplanned maintenance calls, plumbing emergencies, HVAC issues, and tenant comfort requests
- Keep building equipment inspection records and report irregularities to supervisors
- Oversee contractors performing outsourced repairs and maintenance
- Travel between sites in company vehicles to complete repairs and inspections
- Build proficiency in HVAC troubleshooting and energy management systems, and gain experience operating BAS
- Follow safety procedures, wear PPE, report hazards, and take part in safety audits
- Join on-call rotations for severe weather, equipment failures, and power outages
- Mentor junior mobile technicians and work with engineers
- Complete other assigned duties
Requirements
- 2–3 years of related experience, or equivalent certification or trade experience
- Valid state driver’s license
- Engineering and trade licenses required by applicable local, state, or national regulations
- CFC certification preferred
- Advanced HVAC troubleshooting and energy management skills, with experience operating BAS across multiple properties
- Basic Microsoft Outlook skills and ability to use laptop and phone applications for work orders, email, and training
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, crouching, and kneeling
- Regular travel between properties
- Current U.S. work authorization without a need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA regulations
- Ability to use PPE and follow company safety procedures
