Market Development Engineer - Shanghai Onsite

Description

  • Evaluate line items, select suitable pricing models, and prepare detailed quotes covering minimums and multiples, NCNR terms, delivery, pricing, and special restrictions.
  • Recommend resale pricing and actions using current market knowledge.
  • Manage purchase-order reschedules and cancellations while purchasing products within authorized limits.
  • Maintain inventory availability in line with established targets.
  • Support product allocation decisions at both device and customer levels.
  • Partner with sales to develop strategies for winning customer quotations.
  • Launch supplier-focused strategic programs and keep the sales team informed of progress.
  • Improve profitability by coordinating inventory management with external suppliers and sales teams.
  • Use market conditions to strengthen the business’s competitive position.
  • Apply financial analysis and technology plans to meet Return on Working Capital objectives.
  • Create device-level inventory forecasts and maintain the appropriate product mix.
  • Resolve discrepancies with suppliers, product accounting, and sales teams.
  • Pursue RGP margin improvement opportunities using available tools.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience is typically expected; an advanced degree without prior experience or equivalent professional experience may also qualify.
