Licensed Civil Engineer, Site Design — Olsson (Remote, United States)

Olsson is seeking a licensed civil engineer to lead site design work for land development projects in a multidisciplinary environment. The role combines project management, civil calculations, design coordination, client communication, and occasional site travel.

Description

  • Manage small- to mid-sized site development projects.
  • Develop planning and design documentation.
  • Complete civil engineering calculations.
  • Coordinate with Olsson teams, technical professionals, staff, and clients.
  • Visit project sites for observations and attend client meetings when required.
  • Assess, design, and develop construction plans for projects of varying sizes.
  • Support project documentation while tracking scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Review reports to develop cost estimates and assess project feasibility.
  • Coordinate design activities using established engineering methods and procedures.
  • Report project progress and development to project managers and clients.
  • Maintain project details and client records in the project management system.
  • Recommend adjustments to standard methods and procedures when appropriate.
  • Provide technical direction and supervision to less experienced staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Collaborate productively within a team.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Be a registered Professional Engineer.
  • Have experience using Civil 3D.
