Lead Engineering Technician II, Avionics Hardware Testing

Lead troubleshooting and functional testing of avionics hardware, circuit card assemblies, and test stations at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. Contribute to navigation, inertial sensing, hardware development, and modernization programs.

Description

  • Troubleshoot systems from the system level down to individual components
  • Diagnose and repair Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs)
  • Configure, operate, and troubleshoot test stations
  • Collaborate with Honeywell Integrated Supply Chain and CSC cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to current and future modernization initiatives
  • Support hardware development, design, and debugging across CCA, sub-assembly, and system-level testing
  • Debug sub-assemblies and CCAs within complete system assemblies
  • Create and carry out troubleshooting procedures for functional testing of CCAs, sub-assemblies, and system-level products
  • Create and perform functional test procedures for sub-assembly and system-level products
  • Improve testing methods and workflows to increase efficiency and product quality
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to reduce downtime and resolve performance problems

Requirements

  • At least five years of industry experience testing circuit card assemblies or working in a comparable role
  • Practical experience debugging hardware equipment and conducting functional tests
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication skills and an effective team-oriented approach
  • Willingness to learn and build expertise with advanced testing platforms and tools
  • US citizenship required because of contractual obligations
  • Experience with standard software tools for test automation and system debugging is preferred
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting test stations, CCAs, sub-assemblies, and system-level products is preferred
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and standards is preferred
  • An Associate of Arts degree or vocational/applied degree is preferred
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and processes is preferred
