Junior to Mid-Level DevOps Engineer at Career TEAM, Remote Philippines

Build secure, scalable cloud applications for Career TEAM’s Career EDGE workforce-development platform. Work across AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, containers, and full-stack services.

Description

  • Build full-stack applications with Node.js, MongoDB, Next.js, and Nest.js
  • Create and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines using YAML
  • Containerize and orchestrate services with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Deliver scalable DevOps solutions with AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
  • Develop secure web applications aligned with security standards and protocols
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on architecture, scalability, and performance decisions
  • Design, test, and deploy RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Automate infrastructure with Terraform, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Resolve complex real-time issues while maintaining reliability and performance
  • Implement monitoring and logging to track system health and performance
  • Contribute to Scrum ceremonies and improve delivery speed, scalability, and security
  • Help design highly available and resilient systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
  • At least two years of experience with Node.js, the MERN stack, or an equivalent technology set
  • At least two years of full-stack web application development experience
  • At least two years of experience in CI/CD or DevOps work
  • Hands-on experience with AWS EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation
  • Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions
  • Practical experience using YAML for configuration management
  • Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure as code
  • Proficiency with Git and GitHub
  • Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
  • Experience applying secure software development and architecture practices
  • Familiarity with security best practices and protocols
  • Exposure to VSCode, Postman, Jira, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch or the ELK Stack
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Successful completion of criminal, employment, and education background verification
  • AWS certifications, serverless architecture, microservices, networking and security, performance optimization, and open-source contributions are preferred
  • PHP experience is a strong advantage
