Junior Middle Office Analyst - Milan Hybrid
Support trading execution, treasury, settlements, and operational controls at Moneyfarm, a pan-European digital wealth manager. The role covers order monitoring, reconciliations, reporting, and exception resolution across Milan or London teams.
Description
- Support order routing, monitoring, and execution for Discretionary Portfolio Management and Execution-Only business lines.
- Provide trading desk coverage during team holidays and periods of peak trading activity.
- Monitor execution quality, prepare Transaction Cost Analysis reports, and compile materials for the Best Execution Committee.
- Handle ad hoc reporting requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the setup and onboarding of instruments for new financial products.
- Use internal Python and SQL tools to monitor trading activity and investigate complex client execution queries.
- Communicate daily with market counterparties, brokers, and custodians.
- Coordinate trade matching, affirmation, and settlement instruction delivery to custodians.
- Manage daily treasury activities, including bank payments, liquidity transfers, and ledger updates.
- Investigate and resolve cash, stock, and position reconciliation breaks with back-office teams.
- Track settlement progress and work with counterparties to resolve failed trades and operational exceptions.
- Monitor corporate action notifications and support accurate position adjustments in client accounts.
- Help back-office teams complete trade-related calculations and adjustments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative, scientific, or finance-related field such as computer science, economics, mathematics, engineering, or finance.
- Sound understanding of financial market operations.
- Good knowledge of exchange-traded funds.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation and financial modelling formulas.
- Working knowledge or academic experience with Python and SQL for analysis and scripting.
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal or Refinitiv/Eikon is an advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong awareness of operational risk when processing financial transfers.
- Strong numerical ability and logical problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills for collaboration across front-, middle-, and back-office teams.
- Proactive interest in automating operational workflows through scripting.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Based in Milan or London.
