Java Backend Developer – Ad Hoc Client Assignments

Develop Java backend applications, modernize client systems, and support cloud migration across varied consulting engagements. VO2 GROUP provides technology, digital, data, and AI consulting for global brands.

Description

  • Develop resilient Java backend applications
  • Produce clean code and streamline its path through deployment
  • Support clients in evolving applications and modernizing systems
  • Help accelerate client migrations to cloud environments
  • Contribute across diverse projects and client settings
  • Use automated testing, peer reviews, and security best practices
  • Monitor and maintain applications running in production
  • Share technical knowledge and support colleagues’ development
  • Take part in occasional high-impact client engagements

Requirements

  • Bring at least five years of experience building Java backend applications
  • Experience with mission-critical systems is considered an asset
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in modern Java and the Spring ecosystem
  • Understand API design and distributed system architectures
  • Work comfortably in cloud environments, with AWS experience preferred
  • Have used continuous integration and continuous delivery tools
  • Have experience with containerization and infrastructure as code
  • Apply automated testing, code review, and security practices
  • Have monitored and supported production applications
  • Work independently with rigor and a strong delivery focus
  • Adapt quickly to new teams
  • French-English bilingualism is considered an asset
  • Be available for high-impact client assignments
