IT and DevOps Support Engineer (Linux)

Support employees, networks, hardware, and Linux systems across day-to-day IT operations. Clue Technologies develops safety-critical aerospace electronics, embedded systems, AI, and avionics computing.

Description

  • Install and configure employee computer systems
  • Handle employee IT support requests
  • Diagnose software, network, and hardware problems
  • Deliver technical support on-site and through remote-access tools
  • Resolve hardware faults, software issues, and network failures
  • Maintain technical equipment inventories
  • Manage IT purchases and forecast future hardware needs
  • Coordinate relationships with IT service providers
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Configure employee-facing online services, including Google applications
  • Deploy new software and train users in its proper use
  • Assess IT issues and provide effective technical assistance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or related coursework in information technology or computer science
  • Demonstrated experience in a technical support engineering role
  • Understanding of web services, APIs, and IP-based protocols
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, or Shell
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, and Kerberos
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Critical-thinking ability
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel when required
