Graduate Static Equipment and Structures Engineer – Brisbane Hybrid

Join Wood as a graduate engineer supporting vibration investigations, site inspections, and technical reporting across energy and materials consulting projects. Develop practical expertise in static equipment and structures through field experience, mentoring, and client work.

Description

  • Assist with vibration-focused inspections, surveys, and troubleshooting of piping and tubing connected to process plant
  • Collect, assess, and interpret client data and site evidence under the direction of experienced engineers
  • Support the preparation of investigation reports and help develop recommendations for corrective action
  • Establish constructive relationships with clients and colleagues while providing responsive, service-oriented support
  • Suggest improvements to team processes and internal systems
  • Progressively develop practical, well-reasoned engineering solutions as technical capability and confidence increase

Requirements

  • Hold a Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering degree by the end of 2026 or have completed it earlier
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and an inquisitive approach to understanding how systems operate
  • Be able to assess evidence, ask thoughtful questions, and begin forming well-supported conclusions
  • Communicate clearly in both written and spoken English
  • Be receptive to learning and feedback and able to contribute effectively within a team
  • Be comfortable working in field and plant settings
