Graduate Design Technician

Description

  • Visit sites and collect survey data for detailed designs and as-laid drawings.
  • Create accurate AutoCAD as-laid drawings that follow client asset standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver drawings within agreed KPIs.
  • Represent Network Plus at client walk-off meetings.
  • Develop technical drawings, plans and general arrangements for project delivery.
  • Prepare private land notice plans to client specifications.
  • Send weekly progress reports to the Design/Commercial Manager.
  • Assist the design team with administrative and technical work as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree, HNC or HND in engineering, design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of basic engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • IT skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Willingness to learn to use GNSS/GPS surveying equipment.
  • Proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Organised approach and ability to manage tasks across multiple projects.
