General Ledger Accountant - Argentina Remote
Support Parexel’s clinical research operations and LATAM entities as a General Ledger Accountant working remotely from Argentina. Manage month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, audits, intercompany activity, and tax filings.
Description
- Create and maintain well-documented General Ledger journal entries with clear audit trails
- Manage core monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate balance sheet and profit-and-loss accounts under US GAAP and local GAAP
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with statutory financial statements and GAAP reconciliation activities
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on intercompany transactions and close-related work
- Support audits and compile reporting packages for leadership
- Assist with Corporate Income Tax, VAT, and withholding tax filings
- Recommend and help implement improvements to accounting processes
- Provide controllership support to Parexel’s LATAM entities
Requirements
- 1–2 years of accounting or Record-to-Report experience, including General Ledger preparation and maintenance
- Strong analytical abilities and careful attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure
- Adaptability and interest in automation systems, AI tools, and process improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience using ERP systems; Oracle experience is preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous
- Advanced English proficiency for daily work
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred
