GCP Cloud Architect - Remote France

Join ALTEN as a GCP Cloud Architect, designing secure enterprise platforms and migration strategies. Help shape cloud offerings, Terraform accelerators, and standards for the Cloud practice.

Description

  • Design resilient, secure, and optimized GCP architectures, including landing zones, project and folder structures, IAM, VPC Service Controls, and hybrid connectivity
  • Establish reusable architecture patterns and technical standards for GCP
  • Guide technology choices according to cost, security, compliance, and operational requirements
  • Provide technical direction from initial scoping through implementation and production deployment
  • Develop and execute migration strategies covering assessments, wave planning, and delivery
  • Help client teams strengthen their capabilities and adopt cloud best practices
  • Contribute to technical RFP responses, cost estimates, and workload planning
  • Present and defend proposed solutions in client meetings
  • Assess client requirements from a technical perspective and create delivery roadmaps
  • Create and enhance packaged cloud services and offerings
  • Build accelerators such as hardened Terraform modules, reference landing zones, FinOps frameworks, and migration toolkits
  • Help organize the Cloud practice and document lessons learned
  • Lead the technical community through vertical and practice meetings
  • Take part in technical recruitment interviews and candidate assessments

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, engineering degree, or an equivalent qualification
  • At least six years of experience, including three years working with Google Cloud Platform
  • Deep GCP expertise across Compute, GKE, VPC networking, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud NAT, IAM, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud Logging and Monitoring
  • Strong Terraform expertise is required; Config Connector or Pulumi experience is advantageous
  • Experience with Kubernetes, GKE, and Helm
  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD using Cloud Build, GitLab CI, or an equivalent platform
  • Cloud security expertise covering advanced IAM, secrets management, encryption, VPC Service Controls, and Security Command Center
  • Scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months of joining
  • Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification is advantageous
  • Knowledge of a second cloud platform, such as AWS or Azure, is a strong advantage
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence stakeholders
  • Collaborative approach with an interest in knowledge sharing
  • Initiative, autonomy, and strong commitment in a consulting environment
