Galvanizing Technician I – 1st Shift (Onsite)

Operate chemical-cleaning equipment and prepare metal components for galvanizing during Lindsay’s onsite first-shift manufacturing operations. Support production for irrigation, infrastructure, and industrial technology products.

Description

  • Operate equipment that chemically removes grease, scale, dirt, and other contaminants from metal components before galvanizing
  • Load components onto cranes, racks, or containers for chemical processing and rinsing baths
  • Inspect cleaned components to verify they meet required standards
  • Follow all applicable safety policies and regulations
  • Report hazards, policy violations, and injuries of any severity to the Team Leader
  • Work overtime and weekends when requested to support customer requirements

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Follow Lindsay policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment
  • Stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds, and reach as needed for the role
  • Work in manufacturing conditions that may include cold, heat, bright sunlight, noise, and nuisance dust
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Perform addition and subtraction with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Use common-sense judgment to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hat, gloves, and earplugs
  • Be authorized to work full time in the United States
  • English- and Spanish-speaking applicants are encouraged to apply
