Frontend Engineer, React and TypeScript — Spain Remote
Build scalable React, TypeScript, and Node.js applications at knowmad mood, a digital transformation company. Shape SSR, SPA, and BFF architectures and help adopt generative AI capabilities.
Description
- Analyze product requirements and feature needs with the product team.
- Recommend technical approaches, estimate effort, and help define architecture.
- Build frontend features with React, TypeScript, and the company’s frontend technologies.
- Develop and connect applications to APIs and backend services, with attention to scale and performance.
- Help design and evolve applications using SSR, BFF, and SPA architectures.
- Write unit tests and maintain high-quality, well-structured, maintainable code.
- Manage branches, code reviews, deployments, and monitoring.
- Maintain and improve platform components.
- Contribute to adopting generative AI capabilities, development assistants, and intelligent agents.
Requirements
- At least five years’ experience as a frontend engineer, full-stack engineer, or web development technical consultant, working on large-scale digital products.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript ES2022 or later.
- Experience with SSR and SPA architectures and the Backend for Frontend (BFF) pattern.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js and Express.
- Experience with React Hooks and component architecture.
- Experience with automated testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, and Chai.
- Knowledge of Rsbuild, pnpm Workspaces, Turborepo, and Biome.
- Experience integrating APIs and building scalable, maintainable interfaces aligned with business needs.
- Interest in and knowledge of generative AI, AI agents, and AI-powered productivity tools.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborate across disciplines.
- Positive attitude, technical curiosity, learning agility, and a collaborative approach.
- Experience or knowledge in React 19, Server Components, micro-frontends, feature flags, GrowthBook, information architecture, AI integration, AI agents, performance, accessibility, frontend observability, DevOps, and balancing initiative and autonomy with technical alignment is an advantage.
