Flutter and Node.js Full-Stack Engineer - Worldwide Remote

Join memodio in advancing a prescribed digital health app with Flutter and Node.js. Build accessible, regulated medical software designed for older users worldwide.

Description

  • Improve memodio’s existing Flutter applications for iOS and Android, with an emphasis on usability for people aged 50+
  • Create Node.js APIs and backend services that support new product features
  • Contribute to new and related products, including initiatives involving AI capabilities
  • Collaborate with medical and product teams while helping shape product decisions
  • Apply code review, testing, and engineering practices suited to regulated medical software
  • Optionally contribute to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
  • Take ownership of features from concept through delivery within a small engineering team

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional software engineering experience
  • A track record of shipped software, with examples of work you have built
  • Experience with Flutter and Dart, or the ability to learn them quickly from React Native or native mobile development
  • Practical Node.js and API development experience; this is not a mobile-only role
  • Ability to work remotely and asynchronously within a very small distributed team
  • Availability for at least four hours of daily overlap with 09:00–17:00 Berlin time (CET/CEST)
  • Confidence working through loosely defined problems and making sound technical decisions
  • A self-directed, organized working style with significant ownership and minimal supervision
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Interest or experience in software security, accessibility, products for older users, DiGA, medical devices, regulated environments, startups or consulting, and/or DevOps is welcome but not required
