Financial Analyst - Harris Computer (Canada Remote)

Support Harris Computer’s finance team with month-end close, forecasting, audits, and revenue analysis. This full-time remote position is available across six Canadian provinces.

Description

  • Partner with fellow analysts and the divisional Controller to deliver financial support and analysis.
  • Build strong business relationships while providing responsive service to the business unit.
  • Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, including results analysis, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and senior-management reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze deferred maintenance, hardware, software, and professional services revenue.
  • Help the business unit maintain an accurate financial forecast.
  • Prepare audit documentation and address questions during quarterly reviews and interim and year-end audits.
  • Lead or support ad hoc projects involving stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Clear communicator who is comfortable working with all levels of management.
  • Process-improvement mindset focused on finding practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical ability and careful attention to detail.
  • A professional financial designation, or progress toward one, is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS reporting, project accounting, and/or software revenue recognition.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Adaptable, engaging professional able to manage expectations across multiple stakeholders.
