Description

  • Maintain the accuracy of accounting records, reconciliations, integrations, and financial transactions
  • Investigate complex accounting discrepancies, determine root causes, and develop lasting solutions
  • Design workflows that combine information from multiple sources, systems, databases, and operational processes
  • Write SQL queries to retrieve, reconcile, validate, and analyze financial and operational data
  • Automate reconciliations, integrations, validations, reporting, and repetitive accounting activities
  • Develop controls that automatically identify discrepancies, errors, duplicate records, and missing information
  • Support monthly and annual close activities while improving reporting speed and data quality
  • Prepare records and documentation for audits, tax matters, invoicing, and accounting integrations
  • Apply artificial intelligence tools to analysis, research, documentation, and process automation
  • Rigorously test automations and verify that AI-generated outputs are accurate
  • Document processes, business rules, data sources, and automation workflows
  • Find accounting activities that can be simplified, redesigned, or automated
  • Work cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Technology, Data, Operations, and Commercial teams

Requirements

  • Degree or formal training in Accounting, Finance, Public Accounting, or a related discipline
  • Strong experience with accounting, reconciliations, account integrations, and closing procedures
  • Solid accounting fundamentals, including the ability to reconstruct a transaction’s logic and confirm whether its outcome is correct
  • Experience handling large volumes of financial or transactional data
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying, joining, and analyzing data from multiple sources
  • Experience developing automations or improving workflows with technology
  • Ability to understand complex processes, identify root causes, and turn loosely defined problems into clear solutions
  • Experience using AI tools for analysis, automation, documentation, or problem-solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail and sound judgment when verifying accounting automation results
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to independently investigate, test solutions, and take problems from diagnosis through functional implementation
  • Experience with n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate, or comparable tools is highly valued
  • Knowledge of Python or another language for data manipulation or advanced automation is highly valued
  • Experience with APIs, webhooks, or system-to-system integrations is highly valued
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems is highly valued
  • Experience building dashboards, data models, or automated controls is highly valued
  • Background in startups, fintech, proptech, marketplaces, or complex transaction-based operations is highly valued
  • Experience delivering financial transformation, automation, or process modernization projects is highly valued
