Experienced GCP Data Engineer – Fund and Portfolio Services at SEB
Build SEB Asset Management’s cloud data platform for fund and portfolio services. Develop data integrations, warehouses, and regulatory solutions that support business-critical decisions.
Description
- Build SEB’s cloud data platform and deliver reliable, business-critical information to stakeholders
- Provide Asset Management with the platform and tools needed to use data effectively
- Support regulatory and business-focused development across Fund and Portfolio Services
- Design and develop a cloud data warehouse that improves business operations
- Deliver accurate, business-critical data to stakeholders
- Contribute throughout the delivery lifecycle, from requirements and testing through development and deployment
- Maintain regular dialogue with stakeholders to shape effective data solutions
- Help define and evaluate technical designs
- Explore emerging technologies and concepts while supporting continuous improvement
- Coach colleagues and review code to strengthen team delivery
- Own regulatory use cases from initial requirements through implementation
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable data products and integration pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
- Strong knowledge of data integration, modeling, structures, pipelines, and management
- Practical experience with Google Cloud services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Apache Airflow
- Experience developing data warehouses and modern cloud infrastructure
- Strong development skills in SQL, Python, and dbt
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, testing, test automation, version control such as Git, and agile delivery
- Understanding of data quality, observability, performance monitoring, and alerting approaches
- Collaborative problem solver who is motivated to improve engineering practices and data capabilities
- Respectful and proactive communicator who can coordinate work, take initiative, and address significant issues
- Team-oriented professional who enjoys collaboration, knowledge sharing, and learning from colleagues
- Professional experience in an agile environment
- Fluency in English
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Experience with cloud platforms beyond GCP is an advantage
- Hands-on Terraform experience for infrastructure as code is an advantage
- Experience with Dataform for SQL transformation and automation is an advantage
- Knowledge of data analytics tools and data-informed decision-making practices is an advantage
