Electrical Engineer, PE II

Lead electrical designs for ENFRA healthcare and college campus infrastructure, covering power, renewable energy, energy storage, and controls. Sign and seal documents, coordinate across disciplines, and support construction execution.

Description

  • Sign and seal engineering documents
  • Lead designs for solar, battery storage, fuel cell, and combined heat and power plants with senior engineering guidance
  • Prepare one-line diagrams, load calculations, specifications, and other detailed design deliverables
  • Calculate utility interconnections, arc flash, short circuits, and breaker coordination
  • Support system upgrades, retrofits, and new installations
  • Conduct field investigations and support site visits
  • Plan and coordinate 3D laser scanning
  • Coordinate with mechanical, controls, and construction teams
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Lead project tasks or engineering disciplines
  • Resolve complex technical problems independently
  • Provide informal guidance to junior engineers and designers
  • Discuss technical matters directly with clients
  • Support permitting, procurement, and field execution; maintain design records and meet performance, reliability, and energy-efficiency goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems
  • Experience coordinating systems, protection, and controls integration
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs
  • Willingness to travel 10–25% to job sites
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk and computer
  • Ability to climb and descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and possibly scaffolding
  • Ability to conduct field surveys in loud environments, extreme temperatures, or elevated locations
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
