Data Analysis and Projects Specialist – BBVA, Hybrid Mexico City

BBVA seeks a data analysis and projects specialist to improve engineering staffing through data, automation, Jira management, metrics, and training plans. This full-time role follows a hybrid work model in Mexico City.

Description

  • Manage engineering staffing assignments, maintaining data quality and accurate records in institutional tools.
  • Analyze data to produce indicators and metrics that support engineering staffing decisions.
  • Build tools that centralize information, streamline processes, and improve record accuracy.
  • Create training plans and manage Jira work structures for multidisciplinary teams.
  • Track projects through regular progress reports.
  • Ensure engineering personnel are assigned on schedule and according to requirements.
  • Automate and enhance demand and staffing processes.
  • Develop Jira training plans aligned with Agile roles.

Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools in Google Workspace, including Google Sheets, Looker Studio, SQL, and Google Sites.
  • Experience using Jira for project tracking.
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks, including relevant roles and methodologies.
  • Strong negotiation and effective communication skills.
  • Intermediate English proficiency at B1 level.
  • Completed bachelor's degree in Engineering, Actuarial Science, or a business or economics-related discipline.
  • Two to three years of experience managing projects and working with and analyzing databases, preferably in financial services or IT.
  • Knowledge of demand and staffing processes, including Staffing Tool, Demand Review, and Capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Google Apps Script and AI tools for automation.
  • Knowledge of Jira queries for exporting information.
