Controls Engineer, Industrial Automation – Fairburn Onsite

Description

  • Lead controls engineering support for production, engineering, and maintenance teams
  • Provide factory support for PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware
  • Help define scope, requirements, and objectives for electrical and controls projects
  • Coordinate and deliver control system software and hardware upgrades
  • Create and maintain the factory’s long-range electrical and controls infrastructure plan
  • Keep electrical and controls as-built documentation accurate and complete
  • Support training and development for maintenance personnel
  • Apply PLC programming, project execution, HMI/SCADA, and instrument calibration expertise to improve automated processes and equipment
  • Design and approve electrical installations in accordance with applicable codes and standards
  • Provide technical oversight of site power distribution systems to support reliable performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field plus at least three years of experience with electrical troubleshooting, PLC logic design, technical data interpretation, and hardware application specifications in industrial manufacturing
  • Alternatively, an associate degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field plus at least five years of relevant industrial manufacturing experience in electrical troubleshooting, PLC logic design, technical data interpretation, and hardware application specifications
  • This position does not offer visa sponsorship
