Continuous Improvement Engineer Co-op

Join Heraeus Medevio as a Continuous Improvement Engineer Co-op supporting onsite medical-device manufacturing improvements. Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods to strengthen scalability, quality, and cost efficiency.

Description

  • Improve processes, layouts, and staffing to increase scalability, quality, and cost efficiency
  • Help refine process flows, line layouts, staffing plans, and workstation designs
  • Contribute to improvements for new and existing products using Lean and Six Sigma methods
  • Assist with cost-benefit analyses for process and equipment modifications
  • Help assess, prioritize, and implement improvement opportunities through the Medevio CAPTURE program
  • Take part in operations and continuous improvement meetings and activities
  • Adapt promptly to shifting priorities
  • Handle additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, civil, or a comparable engineering program
  • Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Able to work full-time onsite throughout the co-op
  • Demonstrate strong analytical abilities
  • Show practical mechanical aptitude
  • Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and through interpersonal interactions
  • Work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Show motivation to apply academic engineering concepts in real-world settings
