Join Flowserve as an Applications Engineer supporting technical and commercial aftermarket proposals for industrial pumps. Coordinate engineering, sales, suppliers, pricing, and customer project support.

Description

  • Create solutions for customers and partners across industrial and specialized applications
  • Serve as a product specialist within the team
  • Collaborate with sales, development, and other site-based specialist functions
  • Lead aftermarket proposal development by coordinating engineering, sales, procurement, operations, and vendor teams
  • Produce high-quality proposals within customer or manager-defined constraints using workload management processes and tools
  • Assess customer inquiry documents and respond to their technical and commercial requirements
  • Take ownership of pricing elements and technical reviews
  • Track proposals through the complete bid cycle and keep workload management tools up to date
  • Improve proposal success rates
  • Coordinate aftermarket quotations and work with relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute to sales strategy planning
  • Support customer project presentations and kickoff meetings at off-site locations
  • Manage requests to sub-suppliers, including replacement parts, components, labor estimates, and quotations
  • Negotiate commercial terms and pricing
  • Monitor how tools and processes are applied and provide feedback
  • Participate actively in feedback activities

Requirements

  • An engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • A problem-solving mindset and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Experience in a comparable technical or commercial position is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective leadership and organizational capabilities
  • Previous experience in a team environment that emphasizes communication, participation, and inclusion is preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with rotating equipment is an advantage
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
