Commercial Banking Development Program Credit Analyst

Develop commercial lending risk analyses, credit studies, and loan packages at Western Alliance Bank. Support compliance, collateral review, and collaboration across banking teams.

Description

  • Compile and maintain financial background information on current and prospective customers.
  • Prepare credit studies for Loan Officers, the Chief Credit Officer, and executive management.
  • Manage financial spreading assignments and conduct financial analyses.
  • Maintain associated records and files.
  • Prepare reports for the credit department.
  • Assess lending risk by analyzing credit and collateral information.
  • Gather and assess company financial statements for bank compliance, and update bank systems.
  • Work with clients to address compliance matters and operational questions.
  • Review client financials and conduct sensitivity analyses to assess credit risk.
  • Write detailed reports with recommended action plans based on qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Coordinate with bank teams on treasury management products, foreign exchange instruments, derivatives, and legal documents.
  • Assemble loan packages for new and restructured loans.
  • Coordinate bank reporting and requests involving third parties, including field auditors and appraisers.
  • Track loan disbursements to ensure compliance with bank regulations.

Requirements

  • Completed coursework in accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
  • Interest in commercial banking.
  • Ability to stay motivated and work effectively without supervision.
  • Entry-level speaking and writing communication skills.
