Cloudflare Capacity Engineer
Plan capacity across Cloudflare’s global edge infrastructure by building regional models and recommending deployments. Use Python, SQL, BigQuery, and AI tools to turn infrastructure forecasts into plans.
Description
- Lead planning for assigned edge regions and recommend deployments with limited oversight.
- Improve regional models using traffic patterns, hardware generations, and infrastructure changes.
- Build and maintain data pipelines with BigQuery, Python, and Jupyter notebooks.
- Coordinate with hardware sourcing, DCS, and infrastructure teams to turn forecasts into deployment plans.
- Spot regional capacity risks early and address them before escalation.
- Use OpenCode AI and MAS agent tools in day-to-day planning.
- Help develop planning methods and standards across regions.
- Present forecast results in planning reviews and explain them to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bring 3–5 years of experience in an analytical, planning, or technical infrastructure role.
- Use SQL to query and join datasets in BigQuery.
- Use Python for data analysis, scripting, and automating planning workflows.
- Work comfortably with Jupyter notebooks for regular analysis.
- Analyze large infrastructure datasets and turn findings into decisions.
- Communicate clearly in writing and conversation.
- Own a workstream from start to finish with limited supervision.
- Use OpenCode AI and MAS agent workflows and tools.
