Clinical Nutrition Program Manager — Hybrid, United States

Lead evidence-based clinical nutrition pathways, order sets, and program development at Mercy. Partner with providers, leaders, quality teams, and Epic specialists across the health ministry.

Description

  • Lead the development and rollout of clinical programs, care pathways, order sets, and related tools across the continuum of care.
  • Educate, mentor, and work closely with providers and clinical teams.
  • Create project timelines and meeting schedules to support efficient development and revision.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on evidence-based, cost-conscious content that advances clinical and quality excellence.
  • Coordinate work across departments throughout the health ministry.
  • Contribute to clinical initiatives as a member of the Mercy Quality and Safety team.
  • Partner with leadership to set timelines and deliver department and ministry priorities.
  • Follow standard work practices and complete assignments by agreed deadlines.
  • Work with colleagues to design clinical content and workflow processes in the Epic EHR.
  • Collaborate directly with Epic build teams and clinical experts.
  • Communicate clearly and build lasting relationships with hospital and ministry leadership.
  • Carry out responsibilities in alignment with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nutritional services or another health, science, technology, engineering, or business discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Licensed dietitian.
  • Background in clinical practice or engineering.
  • At least three years leading projects, initiatives, or clinical operations in a progressive health system, hospital, or similar environment.
  • Experience training teams and implementing clinical programs across multiple disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of coding, clinical documentation, and CMS guidelines.
  • Strong command of evidence-based practice principles.
  • Ability to partner with providers, clinical teams, Epic build teams, clinical specialists, hospital leaders, and ministry leaders.
  • Ability to define project timelines and meeting schedules while meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-development skills.
  • Adaptability within evolving clinical program and EHR environments.
