Description
- Support the design and development of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, intersections, and corridor enhancements
- Prepare engineering calculations, layouts, and related technical documentation under the guidance of licensed engineers
- Use computer-aided design software and other relevant tools to complete assigned designs
- Apply applicable local, state, and federal design standards and criteria to project work
- Coordinate with team members on design specifications and project timelines
- Conduct field observations as needed with minimal supervision
- Complete other assigned duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Foundational knowledge of civil engineering principles applicable to roadway design and public infrastructure
- One year of transportation design experience preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and OpenRoads preferred
- Strong communication skills for working with clients and project teams
