Chartered Senior Structural Engineer at AtkinsRéalis

Lead structural engineering designs and project delivery for AtkinsRéalis, a global engineering and infrastructure services firm. Coordinate teams, clients, and multidisciplinary building projects.

Description

  • Complete multiple projects, or assigned portions of larger projects, within agreed budgets and programmes
  • Deliver efficient, high-quality structural engineering designs
  • Apply structural engineering expertise across a broad range of building structures
  • Follow BIM standards, the Digital Plan of Work, and each project’s BIM Execution Plan
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, contractors, design teams, and other third parties
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues through chartership programmes and informal guidance
  • Plan and manage your time across several concurrent projects
  • Lead a small project team while reporting to the team leader
  • Strengthen client relationships and help identify new business opportunities
  • Adapt your work location to meet project requirements

Requirements

  • Chartered Engineer with MIStructE or MICE accreditation
  • Experience leading structural engineering delivery for small or medium-sized projects
  • Background managing small project teams against agreed deadlines and budgets
  • Experience designing with commonly used structural materials
  • Strong understanding of current design standards and industry practices
  • Experience with structural analysis and design software; Tekla Structural Designer or Robot Structural Analysis is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to develop projects from concept through construction
  • Experience contributing to multidisciplinary teams and projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Confident decision-maker who can work independently and take proactive action
  • Relevant security clearance may be required
  • Security vetting may require proof of at least five years’ UK residency
