Bilingual MSFW Outreach Representative - Americus

Connect migrant and seasonal farm workers in Georgia with career training, employment opportunities, and support services. Conduct bilingual outreach, agricultural field visits, employer coordination, and H-2A program activities.

Description

  • Reach migrant and seasonal farm workers who are not using WorkSource Georgia services
  • Deliver career counseling, assessments, training support, and employment services
  • Coordinate with agricultural employers to secure referrals and placements and explain H-2A program services
  • Interview applicants in Spanish and English and describe available programs and activities
  • Create and lead job-readiness and job-search workshops and presentations
  • Build ongoing partnerships with local employers and community organizations
  • Review applications, assess program eligibility, and connect applicants with support services
  • Advise applicants on their abilities, interests, values, career objectives, and employment options
  • Align applicant qualifications with open positions and issue job referrals
  • Perform MSFW outreach and onsite agricultural field visits, including worker observations and Temporary Worker Housing verification
  • Support Employment Services at an American Job Center and complete required training

Requirements

  • An associate degree from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED plus two years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and related Wagner-Peyser Act requirements
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Experience providing Employment Services
  • Experience presenting to groups
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations
  • Strong time and task management abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency and flexibility learning job-related software
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Project management capability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
