Description
- Build and support web-based digital applications
- Advance cloud-focused technology transformation with Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js
- Define engineering standards and conduct code reviews
- Mentor developers and lead an engineering team
- Create APIs, microservices, and user interface components with Java Spring Boot, Node.js, and React.js
- Lead technical design discussions on system architecture, integration, performance, scalability, and reliability
- Organize team workloads, set priorities, remove blockers, and deliver work on schedule
- Build and maintain APIs, webhooks, authentication, and partner onboarding integrations
- Partner with Product, UX, QA, and Operations throughout the software development life cycle
- Prepare systems for production, resolve issues, lead root-cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements
- Strengthen CI/CD, automated testing, coding practices, and technical documentation
- Coordinate delivery with geographically distributed teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- At least four years of software engineering experience
- At least two years in technical leadership or a lead engineer position
- At least four years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and React.js
- Background leading design and implementation for complex web applications
- Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and highly available, high-performance mission-critical services
- Experience with Micro-Frontends and front-end architecture is preferred
- Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native development practices is preferred
- Familiarity with Apigee or a comparable API management platform is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of Agile SDLC, release management, and change and incident management
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or enterprise LLMs
- Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and participate in on-call coverage as needed
- Availability to work from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST and during the specified Eastern Time collaboration window
