Auto Bodily Injury Claims Examiner at Sedgwick

Sedgwick is seeking a remote claims examiner to manage complex auto and bodily injury claims across the United States. The role covers claim investigation, exposure assessment, settlement negotiation, and communication with claimants and clients.

Description

  • Review bodily injury claims for clients and determine applicable benefits
  • Adjudicate claims consistently with service standards, industry practices, and client requirements
  • Investigate claims and collect information to assess exposure
  • Use action plans to move claims toward timely, appropriate resolutions
  • Negotiate settlements within delegated authority
  • Communicate claim activity and processing updates to claimants and clients
  • Report claims to excess carriers
  • Respond promptly and professionally to requests for direction

Requirements

  • At least three years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous auto claims experience
  • Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • Ability to evaluate bodily injury claims
  • Computer keyboarding proficiency
  • Ability to hear, see, and communicate verbally
  • Strong conceptual and analytical thinking
  • Sound judgment and discretion
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Compliance with applicable licensing and jurisdictional requirements
