Agronomy Sales Intern (Onsite)

Support agronomy sales activities at CHS Inc. through crop scouting, field trials, customer service, product delivery, and inventory work. This internship combines practical agriculture experience with exposure to sales, operations, and farm-support services.

Description

  • Support the Agronomy Sales Representative with crop scouting, soil sampling, and field-based agronomic problem solving.
  • Plan, track, and summarize farm trials for customers and the agronomy team.
  • Apply integrated pest management methods to identify treatment thresholds.
  • Prepare written reports and present findings to supervisors and customers.
  • Build knowledge of agronomy products and service offerings.
  • Support counter sales and deliver products to customers.
  • Develop familiarity with warehouse and agronomy plant operations.
  • Use Agris for invoicing and inventory management.
  • Contribute to inventory management processes.
  • Learn proper equipment and facility maintenance practices.
  • Help maintain compliance with state, local, and CHS environmental and safety policies.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in agricultural business, crop science, or a related agriculture field.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Agriculture knowledge or prior experience is preferred but not required.
  • Previous internship experience.
  • Ability to follow state, local, and CHS environmental and safety policies.
  • Complete a custom application when qualified or when business needs require it.
