Accounting Controller, Nonprofit Client Services

Description

  • Deliver outsourced accounting services to multiple nonprofit clients
  • Direct clients’ day-to-day finance operations
  • Lead and develop the accounting team
  • Review month-end close activities
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Manage federal and non-federal grant accounting
  • Assist with annual audits and Form 990 filings
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, external vendors, and banking and finance institutions
  • Onboard clients by completing reconciliations, assessing existing processes, and updating procedures

Requirements

  • At least five years’ experience in public accounting, auditing, corporate accounting, or nonprofit accounting
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or progress toward licensure is preferred
  • Nonprofit industry experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with several commercial accounting software packages, including Sage Intacct and QuickBooks, is preferred
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality client service and guidance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
