Technical Consultant, Ion Exchange Resins
Provide application expertise for Ecolab’s Purolite ion exchange and specialty resin technologies. Support customers across Europe with troubleshooting, technical sales, and training.

- Provide technical support for ion exchange, adsorbent, and catalyst applications.
- Assess customer processes and find resin optimization and value opportunities through data analysis, site audits, technical reviews, and digital tools.
- Help customers with commissioning, start-up, operational optimization, and performance investigations.
- Advise sales teams on product selection, troubleshooting, and application fit.
- Work with regional sales and account managers to identify and develop business opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance during customer visits, presentations, bid preparation, and proposal development.
- Conduct process evaluations and design calculations using PRSM and internal technical tools.
- Coordinate and carry out laboratory and pilot-scale studies with application and R&D teams.
- Work with R&D, Product Management, and Marketing on product launches and application development.
- Contribute technical insights to innovation pipelines.
- Help validate new technologies and support their commercial deployment.
- Lead technical seminars, customer workshops, and internal training.
- Prepare technical reports, case studies, application guides, and customer-facing materials.
- Maintain expertise in ion exchange and related separation technologies, serving as a resource for customers and colleagues.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bachelor’s degree in polymer chemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, water technology, environmental engineering, or a related scientific field.
- At least three years of experience in technical consulting, applications engineering, process engineering, water treatment, or related industrial technologies.
- Strong knowledge of chemistry and industrial process applications.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Europe.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a multinational team.
- A master’s degree or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- Experience with ion exchange resins, adsorbents, membrane systems, or separation technologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial water treatment and related applications is preferred.
- Practical laboratory experience in experimental design, pilot testing, and data interpretation is preferred.
- Experience with HPLC, GC, IC, AA, ICP-OES, or ICP-MS is desirable but not required.
- Experience with Excel, Power BI, Python, or similar data analysis and visualization tools is advantageous but not required.
- Additional European language skills, such as German, French, Spanish, or Italian, are preferred.
- Experience supporting commercial sales teams and presenting technical solutions to customers is preferred.
- Experience delivering technical training, presentations, or customer workshops is preferred.
