- Build and run foundational cloud infrastructure platforms for Airbnb services
- Deliver developer APIs and CLIs, Kubernetes infrastructure, autoscaling and capacity-management tools, and cloud automation
- Develop cloud-native infrastructure with public cloud technologies
- Create secure, efficient, mature, and highly available frameworks that reduce infrastructure complexity
- Improve the performance and operational efficiency of existing systems and services
- Increase system availability through distributed-systems best practices
- Partner with infrastructure engineers to support Airbnb’s long-term technology foundation
- Collaborate with open-source communities and peer companies on large-scale cloud-native engineering challenges
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bring 10+ years of industry experience with a BS or master’s degree, or 2+ years with a PhD, preferably in computer science; equivalent experience is also considered
- Demonstrated success developing and operating large-scale technical projects alongside experienced engineers
- Expert-level knowledge of public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, including IaaS offerings like EC2
- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Take full ownership across the development life cycle, with experience building and operating high-scale distributed systems
- Communicate effectively and collaborate across engineering teams
- Apply strong problem-solving skills and debug production systems effectively
- Prioritize efficiency, availability, reliability, and overall system quality
- Demonstrated experience operating Kubernetes at scale
