Senior AWS Cloud Engineer
Design and operate secure AWS infrastructure at Peraton, supporting national security and enterprise IT services. Automate deployments, monitor systems, and resolve cloud incidents.

- Build AWS infrastructure with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Advise ADTs on cloud patterns, deployment approaches, and architecture decisions
- Lead automation across infrastructure as code, pipeline design, and production operations
- Join the on-call rotation and support observability and monitoring
- Assist AWS and managed service users with technical guidance
- Deploy and maintain secure, scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure
- Monitor AWS environments and resolve performance, availability, and operational incidents
- Work with development, security, infrastructure, data engineering, and analytics teams
- Maintain configuration records, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Run backups and perform scheduled upgrades and maintenance during maintenance windows
- Track security vulnerabilities and carry out upgrades and maintenance as needed
- Support audits with logs, reports, and system configuration details
- Administer AWS IAM roles, policies, permissions, and access controls
आवश्यकताएँ
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance
- Must be willing to undergo a customer-required pre-employment credit check
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience, master’s degree plus 6 years, or high school diploma or equivalent plus 12 years
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of AWS architecture, networking, security, serverless and microservice architectures, and containers
- Advanced Terraform skills and proficiency with infrastructure as code
- Experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including reusable shared components for enterprise delivery
- Practical experience monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting SaaS application logs
- Strong Python and Bash scripting skills; Ansible experience is a plus
- Proficiency in configuration management, observability, reliability, and disaster recovery
- Experience automating AWS cloud engineering processes with tools such as Terraform, Python, and GitLab CI
- Strong Git skills, including branching and release strategies such as GitFlow
- Preferred: Experience with runners and infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation
- Preferred: Experience with PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, Node.js, or other scripting languages
- Preferred: Experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and resolving high-priority incidents in large, multi-tenant environments
- Preferred: Experience working in an Agile environment
