- Develop and maintain billing systems serving millions of customers
- Manage a billing domain from business requirements through design, release, and monitoring
- Connect internal and third-party services using APIs, webhooks, and events
- Update integrations as external systems evolve
- Work with other teams and address billing-related questions
- Review code and help shape engineering practices
- Keep billing systems current and up to date
- Improve legacy code and streamline existing processes
- Maintain accurate pricing across taxes, customer location, and sales rules
- Design for reliable asynchronous processing when events are delayed or duplicated
