- Bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field, such as geography, environmental science, or computer science.
- Three to five years of professional experience in GIS development or spatial data engineering, preferably with Esri or QGIS.
- Experience with ArcGIS Server.
- Expert Python skills, including libraries such as ArcPy, GeoPandas, Shapely, Fiona, Rasterio, and PyProj.
- Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS and SQL query optimization.
- Proficiency with GitHub.
- Familiarity with web frameworks such as Flask or Streamlit, front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and AI web development.
- Experience with utilities or government agencies is a plus.
- Experience with Leaflet, Mapbox GL JS, or ArcGIS API for JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience with GeoParquet, DuckDB, and other open-source data formats is a plus.
- Experience with Autodesk and MicroStation is a plus.
- Must be based in the Kansas City area.
- Must be willing to work from the Kansas City, Missouri office two days per week.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
