- Build Python components for ETL workflows
- Move ETL pipelines from IBM DataStage and Oracle to Python and PostgreSQL
- Extract data from multiple sources, apply business rules, and load it into PostgreSQL
- Work with data architects and stakeholders to clarify data needs
- Model data flows and specify transformation rules
- Develop PostgreSQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
- Improve ETL performance, scalability, and resource efficiency
- Tune PostgreSQL queries
- Create and maintain data quality checks, including automated tests, reconciliation scripts, and anomaly alerts
- Track ETL jobs and database health
- Investigate failures and performance problems, then implement fixes and improvements
- Maintain documentation for ETL processes, data dictionaries, lineage, and operational runbooks
- Resolve data issues across systems
- Support incident response with root cause analysis and remediation plans
- Review code, mentor junior developers, and strengthen team practices
- Contribute to technology refreshes, legacy modernization, and cloud and open source platform migrations
आवश्यकताएँ
- Strong Python development skills backed by several years of practical experience
- Solid PostgreSQL and SQL skills
- ETL experience is an advantage
- Strong analytical ability
- A practical, solution-focused approach
- Able to work independently
- Experience with conceptual design work
- A strong understanding of data
- Works independently and in a structured way
- Very good written and spoken English
- Experience with IBM DataStage and Oracle
- Experience in data modeling, transformation logic, SQL queries, stored procedures, and PostgreSQL functions
- Experience tuning queries and optimizing ETL workflows
- Experience creating data validation and quality checks
- Experience monitoring ETL jobs and database health
- Experience documenting ETL processes, data dictionaries, lineage, and operational runbooks
- Experience resolving cross-system data issues and supporting incident response
- Able to take part in code reviews and mentor junior developers
