Senior Civil and Structural Engineer – Ireland Hybrid
Lead civil and structural consultancy projects for ORS Consulting across Ireland. Oversee design teams, client relationships, technical delivery and business development.
Tavsif
- Lead civil and structural design delivery for medium and large-scale building projects
- Manage teams through the structural and civil design process while maintaining quality, efficiency and programme compliance
- Project manage structural and related civil engineering consultancy services
- Own project planning, resource allocation, deadlines and technical delivery
- Provide technical direction, mentoring and support to engineers and technicians
- Maintain client relationships and serve as a key technical contact throughout delivery
- Support business development through proposals, fee submissions and opportunities with new and existing clients
- Coordinate with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
- Ensure designs meet applicable Irish and European codes, standards and construction requirements
- Help improve team productivity, technical standards and design workflows
- Lead projects from feasibility and early planning through detailed design, construction documentation and delivery
- Contribute to projects nationwide, with particular emphasis on the West of Ireland
Talablar
- Level 8 degree or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
- At least 10 years of engineering experience in consultancy, including a minimum of five years on Irish projects
- Advanced structural engineering expertise and substantial experience managing teams delivering large-building structural designs
- Strong technical design ability and knowledge of applicable structural engineering codes and standards
- Sound understanding of construction and engineering principles
- Experience leading projects and multidisciplinary design teams
- Effective client communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Well-organised approach with a consistent focus on meeting project deadlines
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT/BIM
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required
