Lead media relations and strategic communications for Latham & Watkins’ Capital Strategies practices. Build executive visibility and coverage across financial, legal, business, and trade media.
Tavsif
- Support the Capital Strategies group across private credit, banking and finance, capital markets, hybrid capital, liability management, and restructuring.
- Create and deliver media strategies that strengthen the firm’s profile and market positioning.
- Lead proactive media outreach, develop story angles, and cultivate relationships with business, financial, legal, and trade journalists.
- Expand partner visibility through interviews, podcasts, speaking opportunities, and market commentary.
- Coordinate with social media and digital marketing teams to extend the reach of media coverage, awards, recognition, and campaigns.
- Manage high-value writing assignments such as press releases, transaction announcements, award submissions, talking points, and messaging.
- Track market activity and media coverage, surface promotional opportunities, and recommend communications actions.
- Safeguard sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information.
Talablar
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in public relations, marketing, communications, business administration, or a related discipline.
- At least seven years of relevant media relations or corporate communications experience, either in-house or with a public relations agency.
- At least ten years of total professional experience.
- Background in financial services, capital markets, investment banking, private equity, private credit, or a related field.
- Proven ability to earn significant media coverage and develop relationships with business, financial, legal, and trade reporters.
- Demonstrated success shaping media strategies and generating substantial coverage in business, financial, legal, and trade publications.
- Strong interest in capital markets, private credit, banking, and changing financial-market trends.
- Self-directed approach with ownership, initiative, drive, and the ability to create effective, original opportunities.
