Tavsif

  • Maintain and expand Ford Racing’s driver-in-the-loop simulator track library.
  • Gather information from racing series sanctioning bodies and circuit and facility managers.
  • Visit racing circuits and test facilities to collect on-site data.
  • Apply findings to simulator track libraries using commercial and proprietary CAE tools.
  • Help build and maintain tools for modifying simulator tracks.
  • Improve the capabilities and efficiency of the track development process.
  • Model distinctive physical vehicle characteristics in simulation.
  • Maintain the track library database and organize and archive its supporting documents.
  • Work with teams in Aerodynamics, Powertrain, Chassis, Race Team Strategy, and other divisions.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least one year of programming experience for data processing and tool automation, using languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, C++, Visual Basic, Python, or Java.
  • Enthusiasm for motorsports.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage several projects at once.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering focused on vehicle dynamics or control systems.
  • Preferred: Experience with computer-based racing games and creating custom tracks, vehicle models, and liveries.
  • Preferred: At least two years of automotive vehicle dynamics, CAE, or driver-in-the-loop simulator experience, particularly in performance or racing vehicle design and modeling.
  • Preferred: At least two years using parametric or multibody dynamics tools such as Dymola, CarSim, VI-CarRealTime, ADAMS, ADAMS Car, or AVL.
  • Preferred: Formula SAE, Baja SAE, or robotics participation, or professional motorsports engineering experience modeling race-car dynamics.
  • Preferred: Personal interest in track driving or off-roading and the ability to assess vehicle handling limits by feel.
