Field Service Specialist, Industrial Emissions Systems

Commission and troubleshoot CECO industrial emissions and environmental equipment, including SCR systems. Inspect installations, conduct factory acceptance tests, and support customers at sites worldwide.

Tavsif

  • Test instruments at customer sites and factories to confirm correct installation and operation.
  • Guide field erectors on safe, efficient equipment lifting and installation.
  • Check I/O and verify logic and control narratives in plant DCS systems.
  • Lead equipment startup, commissioning, balancing, and tuning.
  • Coordinate with plant personnel to confirm proper system operation and achievement of emissions reduction targets.
  • Oversee equipment installation and lead site crews on turnkey projects and customer facility modifications.
  • Partner with field service, project management, and engineering teams to install equipment and resolve technical issues.
  • Review performance reports and inspect faulty or damaged products to identify corrective actions.
  • Maintain performance records, work orders, maintenance checklists, and related documentation.
  • Train team members and customers in safe equipment operation.
  • Prepare field reports with timesheets, expense records, and customer signatures.
  • Support sales inspections by assessing the mechanical, electrical, structural, and operational condition of existing equipment.
  • Conduct factory acceptance tests and coordinate punch list completion before shipment.
  • Confirm designs meet requirements and equipment conforms to approved drawings.
  • Coordinate repairs with engineering, customer service, and other teams.
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports and correspondence.
  • Inspect fabrication sites for quality.
  • Provide engineering feedback to support equipment design improvements.
  • Complete field service and project closeout records.
  • Manage shipping and receiving.
  • Package equipment for transport.
  • Use a forklift to load and unload equipment.
  • Organize and maintain the shop.
  • Assist with property oversight and supervision of third-party service crews.
  • Follow company and OSHA safety policies and keep work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
  • Perform other similar duties as assigned.

Talablar

  • Technical training in electrical systems and a high school diploma are required.
  • At least five years of experience as a field service specialist, technician, or site commissioning professional is preferred; a related associate or bachelor's degree is an alternative qualification.
  • Knowledge of process instrumentation, including pressure transmitters and flow control valves using 4–20 mA signals.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment and accessories such as fans, dampers, and flow meters.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, wiring schematics, P&IDs, and instrument operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to test resistance and continuity on low- and high-voltage systems up to 480 V.
  • Proven ability to communicate with and train plant staff, customers, and coworkers.
  • Valid state driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • U.S. passport and ability to obtain a TWIC.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and API safety regulations.
  • Ability to complete customer-specific site safety training.
  • Experience with exhaust systems, SCR, combustion equipment, control systems, and field startup and commissioning is preferred.
  • Knowledge of combustion, airflow, differential pressure in liquids and gases, and chemical, hydrocarbon, and acid gas process streams is preferred.
  • PLC programming knowledge is an advantage.
  • Ability to meet company attendance standards.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.
  • Travel to manufacturing and supplier facilities is required.
