Senior Security Data Engineer
Lead data engineering across State Street’s cloud and on-premises platforms, building secure pipelines, integrations, and warehouses that support resilient IT operations.
Opis
- Own data engineering for cloud and on-premises products
- Strengthen self-service, scanning, and platform integration capabilities
- Design and improve scalable data pipelines, architectures, models, and datasets
- Develop production-ready ETL and ELT pipelines
- Equip internal teams to make informed decisions with high-quality data
- Work with internally built distributed systems, portals, and data warehouses
- Contribute to the evolution of cybersecurity and IT platform products
- Apply AI-assisted methods such as specification-driven development
- Turn nontechnical needs into robust technical solutions
- Partner across Technology Platform Engineering & Operations and Platform Security Solutions
Zahteve
- At least five years of experience in data engineering or data platform engineering
- Practical experience with on-premises and cloud data environments, including Azure and AWS
- Experience developing and improving scalable pipelines, architectures, models, and structured and unstructured datasets
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server or a comparable relational database
- Advanced scripting ability in PowerShell or Python
- Experience delivering production-grade ETL or ELT pipelines
- Experience with platforms such as Power BI, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, access controls, and deployment environments
- Strong experience working with APIs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to turn nontechnical requirements into robust solutions
- Proficiency with SDLC tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Jira
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, including migrating or redesigning on-premises workloads for cloud-native environments
- Experience working with the ServiceNow API
- Prior experience in a regulated industry
- Demonstrated ability to use large language models to improve and accelerate engineering workflows
- Ability to work from the office at least three days per week
