Senior Engineer, Skylar Automation
Build backend, MCP, and cloud infrastructure services for ScienceLogic’s AIOps platform. Work with Python, AWS, Docker Swarm, and Couchbase on distributed systems.
Opis
- Build scalable, high-performance applications and services.
- Develop and maintain Python backend services, using Celery for asynchronous task processing.
- Create and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) services with FastMCP.
- Design and manage containerized environments with Docker Swarm.
- Improve data storage and retrieval with Couchbase and other NoSQL technologies.
- Support reliability and scale through horizontal scaling strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, robust, and efficient solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues in distributed systems and Linux environments.
- Apply spec-driven development practices with AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
Zahteve
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least six years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Celery distributed task queues.
- Strong knowledge of Docker Swarm and container orchestration.
- Practical experience with Couchbase or a comparable NoSQL database.
- Advanced Linux system administration and performance tuning knowledge.
- A track record designing horizontally scalable systems.
- Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture.
- Strong problem-solving ability in fast-paced work environments.
- US citizenship to support government customers.
- Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Preferred: familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Preferred: strong communication and leadership abilities.
