Senior Embedded Linux Engineer

Develop low-level software for Witekio’s embedded and IoT products, including Linux BSPs, drivers, kernels, and distributions. Work across customer projects using technologies such as Yocto, ARM, and C/C++.

Opis

  • Build, integrate, test, and debug low-level embedded software in C/C++.
  • Develop software primarily for ARM and x86 architectures.
  • Customize Linux distributions with Yocto, Buildroot, and related tools.
  • Potentially contribute to MCU projects using Zephyr or FreeRTOS, and MPU systems such as Android AOSP.
  • Contribute to project-related open-source work, including upstreaming Linux or Zephyr changes.
  • Develop and tailor Board Support Packages (BSPs) for customer hardware.
  • Implement features for software updates, security, and optimization.
  • Develop and customize bootloaders, drivers, and kernels.
  • Apply quality processes such as code reviews, code analysis, and CI/CD.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Collaborate on national and international projects with teams mainly in the United States, as well as the United Kingdom and Germany.

Zahteve

  • Bring at least 7 years of embedded software development experience, including driver or firmware work, and knowledge of ARM architecture.
  • Have hands-on Embedded Linux experience, ideally with the Linux kernel.
  • Demonstrate strong C/C++ development skills.
  • Know or be interested in Android AOSP and Zephyr.
  • Knowledge of MCUs and connectivity is an advantage.
  • Be able to work with remote customer or Witekio teams in an international setting.
  • Use English proficiently to collaborate with teams in Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
  • Hold a degree in computer science or engineering.
  • Bring an open mind and strong communication skills.
