Opis

  • Manage and secure SQL Server databases for Defense Logistics Agency applications, tuning them to support reliable operations.
  • Set up, configure, upgrade, and patch Microsoft SQL Server instances and databases.
  • Track database performance and make improvements as needed.
  • Develop and refine queries, stored procedures, and scheduled jobs.
  • Handle backups, recovery, and high availability.
  • Verify database restores through testing.
  • Enforce database security controls, STIGs, and access policies.
  • Assist with audits and address identified issues.
  • Help deliver application releases by supporting schema updates and data corrections.
  • Work with different operating systems and supporting scripting or programming languages.
  • Coordinate database work during patching, upgrades, and incidents.
  • Maintain data availability and protection.

Zahteve

  • Hold an active Top Secret clearance.
  • Have five years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.
  • Have three years of hands-on experience and expertise with relational database management systems.
  • Be able to work across different operating systems and with additional programming languages.
  • Hold a DoD-approved 8570 baseline certification at IAT Level II, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP.
  • Hold one computing environment certification: Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator Associate, MCSA: SQL 2012 Database Administration, MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration, or Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate.
  • Be available to start on January 4, 2027.
  • Be willing to sign a Letter of Commitment.
  • Be able to sit or stand for extended periods and perform computer-based work using standard office equipment.
  • Be able to communicate verbally, listen actively, and meet visual acuity needs frequently.
  • Follow site-specific safety, security, and dress standards.
